Each year, gamers from all over the world converge on Dallas, Texas for the annual QuakeCon lan party and trade show. For the third year, The Wildcat attended in 2011. Despite issues with the cheap hotel he stayed in, the actual convention was considerably better then 2010.

BWL RoadTrip: A-Kon 22

Once again, in June of 2011, The Wildcat attended A-Kon 22. Additionally, this year boasted a visit to the first Gearbox Community Day Event and Duke Nukem’s Happy Ending – the launch party for Duke Nukem Forever.

BWL Behind The Scenes: Practice Session LPU Vs Mode

The Wildcat and Syrus play Left 4 Dead 2 in VS Mode on Dark Carnival. 1-on-1.

We had a good time and got some practice time working. We also developed plans for our try-out effort.

As of today, the 1st of July, 2011 we still have one open slot on the main LPU team, and are ready to start filling the substitute team and the back up slots. To join Let’s Play United, you need to visit the forum link below. There are several requirements and a lot of legal disclaimers in that thread. Read and then post an application and we’ll schedule your try-out for the LPU team.

On the 23rd of March, 2011, we officially launched our third game server. To celebrate the occasion, we scheduled a four hour gameplay event.

Sorry this video is so late. Work and illness slowed me down. Happy Thanksgiving folks. During the fall I enjoyed 3 local events. The Big Country Balloon Fest, KEAN 105 Cruise Night, and Homecoming at my University. Even with rain and errors that greatly limited two of these events, I had a blast.
