However, I have also added commenting to the individual pages, so you can leave comments in a number of new places.  Also, I’ve changed a number of pages to a more uniform look and link structure.  And I’ve simplified some of the navigation factors.

Beyond that… I’ve basically extinguished the small changes.  So now, it’s time to start tearing down the current site theme in favor of something a little more professional and a little less HL-centric.

I’m also recruiting some team members in a thread in the Resource Depot forum.  Welcome Syrus Rayne as he has moved from just a member of the BWL Film Crew to the full Creativity Team as a news poster and Game Reviewer.

Expect some big things from BWL Development in the future.

But with that said, the appearance changes I am about to make on this site will affect some of the content for temporary periods of time.  Specifically, you may find the site looking drastically different for a few hours once in a while and you may also find links or features missing for those same periods of time.

Please, bare with us as this has been needed for a while and I want to really step up the site’s appearance.

Just a few details here…

The new site design is editable by those I choose to promote.  VIP’s and Team members need to sign up so I can make you Authors or Editors.  Also, due to spam bot activity which is still suprisingly heavy here… you must be a blog subscriber to post comments.

Registration for the main site is completely independent from your forum account.

If you were a forum member before the change, you do not need to re-register.  Your old account was preserved as I converted our old database to the new version.  Your account, posts, and all the existing forum activities are in the phpBB3 forum… that includes the Cataclysm and Downfall RP threads.

The old forum is gone now.  I deleted both the software and the old database.  You will get a page not found error if you follow an old link or bookmark.  The forum address is now bwl.hl2files.com/phpbb3

Also, due to the spam bot activity…  new user regestrations require activation.  You should get an email asking you to click a link to activate your account.  If you don’t recieve said email… contact me so I can activate your account.

I’m not sure how long the full conversion will take, especially since some pages will still be used seperate form WordPress.  But expect to see the main list pages ready tonight.

Our shout box is still up and running and we will be upgrading to phpBB3 next… but for now, the phpBB2 forum is still up and running.  And hey, some of the nice side-effects of this may include VIP and Team Members being able to join the blog and being granted Author status (meaning they could write blog posts and such).
