Hmm... I say to play GMTower, but as it turns out, the official servers have been down since the 1st of January. Lovely.

So yeah... just play on our server and get one of the admins to join in and put on a youtube video or something.

Yeah, that's what Danny was pointing out. I've watched a clip of the scene since the review. And yeah, basically, it happens very quickly. In all likelihood, I wasn't watching alertly enough. In other words, I didn't see him swing the hammer that first time.

The long story short is I want it out sometime next year. 2012 or bust, meaning either we get the GS version done in 2012 or we release what we have and move on to the source version.

Yeah, I knew that I saw him poke it several times... which sort of amused me. But I never saw him hit it with the hammer. I'm guessing that was fairly brief and relatively subtle to maintain the jump scare value.

Overall, I think the film is a missed opportunity. But you have to give them credit for making the film look fairly authentic in most of its effects. Sure, some of the effects break down in several places, but it mostly looks good for a puny $5 million budget.

I think Brad Jones may be right. He said in his video review that he thinks they likely re-shot the ending during their months of delays. That is where most of the effects felt like they broke down for me.

Anyway, it's still a fun movie to riff.

Just so you know I am pretty sure that the commander hit the space rock with a hammer which made it explode and contaminate the LM. Thats why he appeared to have a hammer in his hand and the other astronaut said "YOU contaminated...". I just thought I'd try to clear up some of your confusion. But I did notice two Giant Tarantula looking things during one of the times lights were flickering towards the end. I wasn't sure if the aliens came in different sizes.
